The Dragon Tablets – Iteration Three: Warlock Alchemy

In addition to the Journey, the Warlocks have access to and knowledge of alchemy that no one else has. They are the undisputed masters of the art. But as they don’t share what they know with the alchemical community at large, no one knows exactly what they know and what they can accomplish. Rumors abound, even in the most rumor resistant circles. Scholars would agree that this is a conservative list

Potions

All Warlock potions are toxic. If someone, other than a Warlock, drinks it, they will suffer 2d of injury and another 2d of injury if they fail a HT roll, as if it was a toxic poison. They have their own recipes for the following standard elixirs: Carrying, Dark Vision, Healing, Improved Regeneration, Improved Rejuvenation, Invulnerability, Major Healing, Minor Healing, Rejuvenation, Strength, and Water Breathing.

Dispeller

All active alchemical effects affecting the subject are removed. It only works on unfinished Trails of Change, as the alchemical effect is no longer active when it has finished.
Duration: Instant.
Form: Any, but pastille or grenade.

Cost: $1,000.

Reflection

The subject is granted DR 3 and that damage is reflected back on the attacker. It does not protect the eyes. Armor can still be worn.

Striking Strength

The subject gets 10 levels of Striking ST.

Sturdy

The subject gets a bonus of 10 hp, increasing their maximum hp for all purposes for the duration.

Bombs and Other Grenades

Bombs are a type of explosive alchemical grenades that only Warlocks know how to make and use. They have their own recipes of the following grenades: Demon’s Brew and Magebane.

Basic Blindness Bomb

Subjects who fail a HT roll are afflicted by the Blindness disadvantage.
Duration: 1d hours.
Form: Grenade.

Specific Reagents: $100.
Cost: $2,500.
Recipe: $250; 2 weeks; defaults to Alchemy-2.

Basic Fire Bomb

The bomb does 3d burn ex.
Duration: Instant.
Form: Grenade.

Basic Flammable Cloud Bomb

The bomb disperses a cloud of flammable gas. Any spark will set it on fire and does 3d burn.

Basic Fragmentation Bomb
